I have a lifelong love of colours and textiles and I'm inspired by nature and the world around me. Sewing and crafts have always been a part of my life. I squirrel away collections of things that inspire me. I had my first sewing kit at seven and my first sewing machine at ten - a hand-powered Singer. Life including busy work in museums sometimes intervenes but I always find time for creativity.

Over the years I've toyed with selling my bags but there never seemed a need with friends and family so willing and able to accommodate another homemade present! In 2011 I stopped wondering if I could turn my hobby into a business and decided to take the plunge after becoming a finalist in Country Living Magazine's Kitchen Table Talent Awards. This brings a package of help plus coverage in the magazine and I hope it will be the start of a great new adventure!
